REDMI 10

Xiaomi finally brings the Redmi 10. The specs show with one Helio G88 processor, 90Hz full HD display, 5000mAh battery and 50 megapixel main camera impressive hardware for an entry-level device. Below we take a close look at the upcoming Redmi 10.

Design and display

The Redmi 10 measures 161.95 x 75.53 x 8.92 millimeters and has a weight of 181 grams. The back is shaped by an opulent camera module. The frame and the housing are made of plastic. The front camera is in a subtle way Punch-Hole Notch housed in the middle of the smartphone. The power button and volume controls are on the right. To unlock the smartphone, the power button also serves as a Fingerprint scanner. Alternatively, of course, you can also click Face-Unlock access via the front camera. A USB-C connector and a Headphone connection can also be found on the Redmi 10. Two SIM cards and a microSD can probably be inserted into the SIM slot on the left-hand side for memory expansion. 

The display has been upgraded to its predecessor. Instead of a normal Full HD IPS panel, there is now a Full-HD IPS panel with increased refresh rate of 90Hz for use. This feature was only reserved for significantly more expensive smartphones last year and ensures that content appears particularly fluid. The display has a size of 6.5  and a Resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Individual image points will therefore not be perceived and a perfectly sharp image will be delivered. 

Performance and system

With the Mediatek Helio G88 processor the successor to the Helio G85 is used in the Redmi 10.  The performance of the Helio G88 in the Redmi 10 will  provide a little more than 200,000 points in the Antutu benchmark. The processor consists of two fast Cortex A57 cores with 2.05 GHz and 6 additional Cortex A55 cores with 1.8 GHz. The chip is manufactured in the not particularly energy-saving 12 nanometer process and has a Mali G52 GPU. Redmi 10 with the Helio G88 delivers a solid performance with which all standard apps can be used comfortably. 

Redmi 10 camera

For photography, Xiaomi packed a quad camera setup on the Redmi 10.  Overall, the setup consists of one 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide angle camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also one on the front 8 Megapixel Selfie-camera.

Connectivity & battery

The Redmi 10 is a Dual-SIM and supports all LTE frequencies. 

 

In terms of battery, the Redmi 10  offers a really decent capacity. with 5000mAh the smartphone will be able to be used without any problems for a day with intensive use. Infrequent users should easily get a two-day runtime. The smartphone is charged with at least 18 watts.
